This group has been organized to collaborate with our community to create more COMMUNITY CENTRIC, forward-thinking, and all-encompassing approach to accessibility, justice, equity, diversity and inclusion.
Better Way Forward (BWF) wishes support the work of Being A JEDI through programs, activities, resources, and events which serve all people equitably. BWF operates as an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that adheres to our vision and mission of championing the work and ideals of Being A JEDI within the Eastern Iowa Area often working in partnership with various local organizations.
BWF operates autonomously with its own missions, vision, consensus, skills, incentives, resources and action plans for change in the Eastern Iowa Area.
Any funds collected by BWF go to support our community through providing programs, other local non-profit organizations, educational materials, tools, training, etc. needed within our local area of Johnson County in DIVERSITY EQUITY & INCLUSION work.
Our vision is striving to see each other, hear each other, talk to each other, and build pathways where all people can confidently travel together through Belonging, Accessibility, Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in our community.

Our mission is to provide financial, civil, and volunteer support to our marginalized and underserved communities through programs, activities, activism, resources, events, and fundraising in the Eastern Iowa Area, serving all people equitably.
